JOB SUMMARY
Assist in origination and underwriting commercial real estate loans for all capital sources of the Guggenheim Commercial Real Estate platform. Analyst will be involved in all aspects of loan originating, underwriting, and closing, including: initial loan sizing and analysis, structuring, research, processing, underwriting, closing, securitization, and asset management.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluate financing requests to determine appropriate loan structure
- Identify specific merits, risks, and mitigants for each transaction
- Construct and maintain detailed financial models and develop sensitivity analyses around key economic drivers
- Generate term sheets, loan applications, internal Asset Summary Reports, and commitment memorandums
- Perform property, market, industry, tenant, and sponsor due diligence
- Work with legal and third party vendors
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Significant experience with financial modeling and evaluating commercial real estate
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Strong analytical skills including ability to evaluate and value Commercial Real Estate Assets using various financial tools and software
- Excel proficiency required
- Knowledge of all types of CRE Asset classes including multifamily, retail, industrial, office, hospitality, self storage, and manufactured home communities
- Superior interpersonal skills. Experience with senior management and sophisticated financial sponsors.
